We need to backfill for one of our consultants *Sr. SOA (Web Services) QA in Foster City, CA* Hello, We are looking to hire an accomplished Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with payment industry experience to join our client for a 6+ month assignment providing testing on payment systems. The desired candidate would have an excellent understanding of how to design and implement highly available fault tolerant systems that can support high transaction volumes. *Location: Las Vegas, NV* *Responsibilities:* · Participates in testing any of the products as assigned · Applies analytical and problem solving skills to clarify requirements and determine appropriate testing scenarios to validate the requirements · Development of test scripts against functional and technical specifications · In some cases, automates test cases using available products · Conducts functional, regression, performance testing for GUI, Batch and Backend processes · Logs, tracks and verifies the resolution of defects · Strives for maximum requirements coverage via test suites and test cases · Provides a weekly status report to manager · Proactively identifies issues and acts upon them by owning an issue to its resolution · Handles test environment problems and issues · Maintains a consistent test methodology and to resolve questions during testing · Supports the completion of QA deliverables, tracking bug reports and change requests and their resolution · Ensures that all tests are conducted and documented according to Blackhawk standards *Skills and Experience* · 5+ years of total QA experience with at least 2 years in a Senior role · Experience *testing payments applications is required* · Experience or knowledge of testing methodology required · Experience working in the *Payments industry on credit/debit transactions is required* · Programming and knowledge of *test scripting skills (java, selenium, Junit, Maven, TestNg, Jenkins) is a plus* · *DB/SQL scripting skills is a plus* · UNIX Script is a plus · Ability to test both manual and automated test scenarios/cases · Experience with Load and Performance Testing · Understanding of software architectures is a plus · Ability to positively manage work in a sometimes very chaotic environment with changes coming from multiple directions at once ie: timeline, scope of work, etc. · Ability to articulate open issues and risks in a timely manner to own manger, product owners, and development partners. · Ability to write well articulated test plans, test scripts · Ability to clearly document defects and follow through on resolution · Knowledge of ISO 8583 messaging is a big plus · Batch testing experience is a big plus · Ability to rapidly build knowledge of application business area, application requirements · Knowledge of testing tools is a big plus · Ability to coordinate/communicate across technology teams including with 3rd party vendors and offshore QA teams · Strong verbal and written communication skills Please let me know if you have any questions.
