Experience with BI Publisher, Interactive Dashboards, Analytics, and SQL is a must. · Develop and tune SQL queries as needed to support data initiatives. · Experience in Data Warehouse Architecture and Design as well as OBIEE administration helpful. · Resolve system issues through thorough problem analysis and/or effective user interaction. · Work closely with all levels of user community, technical staff and application development software staff to ensure successful project implementation, including but not limited to: requirements gathering, understanding the business process, and ensuring projects fit into the goals of the Department. · Coordinate and direct multiple projects that are at various stages. · Interact with other Sr. System Analysts, Team Leads and Supervisors. · Assist, direct, train and coordinate the work of less experienced staff. · Provide technical knowledge to direct and coordinate system analysts and programmers in their related activities. · Complete assigned training and other task as assigned by management. · Conduct detail system design studies with user personnel to define information processing requirements. · Prepare project feasibility studies, compute time and cost estimates, human resources and equipment requirements. · Provide system design alternatives from the detail design documents. · Generate general and/or detailed module specifications for developers. · Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. · Research new application development techniques, technical developments and business solutions. · Confer with user community to define information systems requirements and system processing needs. · Confer with management to assist in planning, organizing and controlling activities to determine how projects fit into the overall system development effort. · Provide alternative solutions which correct both operational malfunction and improve operating inefficiency. · Develop testing plans for unit and/or system tests and create unit and/or system test data. · Monitor application software systems to ensure proper execution and performance. · Monitor completed application software of staff to ensure proper procedures are followed. · Direct the organization and preparation of written procedures and guidelines for system operation, program documentation and data verification methods. · Execute tasks following ` techniques, tools and standards, procedures and agency guidelines. *Job Requirements:* · Extensive knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) version 11g from a development perspective as well as from an architecture perspective. · Extensive knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher 11g. · Thorough knowledge of OBIEE 11g administration and security principles. · Thorough knowledge of Data Warehouse principles and techniques. · Thorough knowledge of SQL and query tuning. · Thorough knowledge of application development system architecture. · Extensive knowledge in developing and maintaining applications for large scale computer systems developed in Oracle database using Oracle development tools. · Extensive knowledge in information technology equipment, operation, and capabilities. · Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. · Extensive knowledge of polices, standards, procedures used for application development. · Extensive knowledge of on-line and batch methodologies and Oracle relational database concepts and techniques. · Thorough knowledge of system and business processes of applications. · Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. · Ability to work in team unit, independently and on special or confidential projects. · Ability to read and understand complicated technical manuals · Ability to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with others. · Ability to manage multiple application development software projects and priorities. · Ability to work with other information technology staff. · Ability to assist, direct and train subordinates.
