*Data-Business analyst with SQL* *Location: Ft. Lauderdale, Florida* *Duration: 3 months with extensions* *Interview: Webcam to Hire* *Data/business analyst with strong sql skills. If they have ssrs reports experience it will be a big plus!* ***excellent communication skills are required. This is key for this role!!*** This is not a developer role. They need to be a sql bi data analyst who has strong database skills Position Summary The data analyst is a key liaison between the technical IT staff that deploys operational and analytical systems and the line-of-business staff that performs the process work. The data analyst specializes in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business processes and user needs in order to formulate data management solutions that enable the overall business strategies. The data analyst drives the creation of data models (primarily conceptual/logical models) and process/data flows, as well as the supporting process ecosystem (screen interactions, dashboards, rule management, optimization algorithms and so on). Primary Duties / Responsibilities * *Perform data analysis* *o In-depth understanding of database schemas* *o In-depth knowledge of querying and reporting tools * *o Identify and resolve data integrity issues* * In-depth knowledge of the data interfaces between production, development and quality assurance (QA) systems * Communicate and translate requirements effectively between business process areas and supporting departments (such as the IT organization) * Ensure proper coordination between the IT organization and process owners by defining conceptual and contextual levels of detail in the data and process flow models * Perform continuous reviews to align processes (for example, models, goals, expectations) with changing business conditions * Proactively build and maintain relationships with the business managers and with the development team managers to be seen as the subject matter expert * Negotiate with business process owners and development teams with the goal being to achieve consensus on solutions offered by IT and strengthen the reputation of IT Services as a strategic business partner. * Work closely with business community to understand and prioritize business goals and system needs * Manage large, complex or multiple tasks, while meeting deadlines and producing high quality deliverables. * Show process stakeholders how to identify and solve process challenges by simulating different scenarios and analyzing performance metrics through advanced optimization techniques * Lead the facilitation of team and business user meetings. * Maintain documentation for Sarbanes-Oxley controls * Stay up-to-date on professional and industry best practices and seek opportunities to leverage same within IT organization and the entire company * Complete and submit status reports to management team in a timely manner * Develop and deliver presentations with business implementation topics for audiences at different levels Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities) * Data modeling expertise * Proficient with data modeling tools such as Visio and Erwin * Expertise with SQL language * Knowledge and experience in following platforms/technologies/concepts: ETL, SQL Server, XML, EDI, OLAP * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills * Long term planning horizon and "strategic" mindset * Knowledge of Office applications and other productivity tools * In-depth knowledge and understanding of ERP, CRM, Licensing, Web Applications and/or BI systems Thanks & regards Ashok Kumar | IDC Technologies, Inc.
