Requirements and Specifications:
The Department of Human Service/Division of Child Welfare CDHS/DCW requires
assistance with the following tasks:
1. Modifying and making data extracts more efficient from the Results
Oriented Management (ROM) system.
2. Developing new data extracts from Trails related to:
a. Referral and assessment
b. Child Welfare Involvements
c. Child Welfare Services
d. Children Adopted
3. Automating manual processes for data matching using SQL procedures
linking data extracts from other State Agencies to DCW case records
4. Other SQL duties as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The worker shall be managed by the manager of the Research, Analysis, and
Data unit. The RAD unit is a team of six responsible for providing data and
analysis to the Department of Human Services, the general public, counties,
and stakeholders. The manager of the RAD unit will manage the
staffing/vendor selected to perform this work, including assigning tasks
and priorities, reviewing and accepting work products, and conducting
performance monitoring and improvement reviews.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Senior Level Developer with at least 5 years of experience working in SQL
Server
Experience writing procedures to extract data from an Oracle database to
SQL server and formatting flat file extracts.
Extracts will be used by the DCW Research, Analysis, and Data Unit.
HIPAA
To the extent needed, the Contractor will have and use a HIPAA Business
Associate Adendum with Covendis, including the following provision. Health
Insurance Portability & Accountability Act of 1996 ("HIPAA"). Federal law
and regulations governing the privacy of certain health information
requires a "Business Associate Contract" between the State and the
Contractor. 45 C.F.R. Section 164.504(e). Attached and incorporated
herein by reference and agreed to by the parties is a HIPAA Business
Associate Addendum for HIPAA compliance. Terms of the Addendum shall be
considered binding upon execution of this contract and shall remain in
effect during the term of the contract including any extens
