*Title:* Oracle / Web Developer *Location:* Peoria, IL *Duration:* 1+ year *Pay Rate:* $48/Hr. On C2C *Description:* Summary: Develop and design web applications and web sites. Responsible for directing web site content creation, enhancement and maintenance. Education/Experience: Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent training required. *Skills and Competencies: * Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Expert ability to work independently and manage one's time. Expert knowledge of computer software, such as Adobe, Java, SQL, etc. *Required Qualifications: * Detail oriented (making changes to production data) Follow Standard work Write and Maintain Standard work Creation of Implementation Plans Creation of Testing Plans Creation of Backout Plans *Oracle: * Experience with creation of Oracle DDL (Data Definition Language) commands Experience with Oracle PL/SQL specifically Knowledge of Oracle roles and their usage Experience with SQL *PLUS UNIX: * Knowledge of PUTTY (UNIX access) Understanding of basic UNIX commands Ability to set up, understand, and maintain Cron jobs Ability to understand and maintain UNIX shell scripts Ability to set up and call PL/SQL scripts from UNIX shell scripts Knowledge of FTP for file transfer between UNIX and Windows. Significant previous IT experience required *Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Supervise the design, build or maintenance of web sites, using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools and digital media. Supervise the writing, design, or editing web page content. Direct web site updates. Review problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback and approve the correction of problem. Advise and direct management or development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria or choose solutions. Direct development or validation of test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces. Maintain understanding of current web technologies or programming practices through continuing education. Candidate will work with team members to maintain and improve the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications.
