*Duration: 11 months*
* MUST HAVE Data Modelling and Database Testing EXPERIENCE*
*Summary: *
Responsible for developing and executing software test plans in order to
identify software problems and their causes.
Tester / QA Analyst Requirements:
• HP quality center experience required
• Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and
methodologies
• Extensive experience with web-based software applications
• Experience with Java and BEA WebLogic server environments
preferred
• Direct hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs, automated
testing tools and defect tracking/reporting tools
• Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving
abilities
• Excellent PC skills
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Excellent listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly
language
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure
environment
• Keen attention to detail
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Tester / QA Analyst Skills and Competencies:
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills,
customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in
production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and
technology
• Knowledge of computer development software, such as Microsoft
Visual Basic, Linux, JavaScript, etc.
Tester / QA Analyst Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
• Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
• Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database
impacts, software scenarios, or usability
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report
defects to software developers
• Identify, analyze and document problems with program function,
output, online screen or content
• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
• Create or maintain databases of known test defects
• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope
or delivery dates
