Provide high level time estimates for assigned work efforts Documents Business Requirements and Use Cases Perform System Testing Provide Customer Support/Training during User Acceptance Testing Phase Communication Skills Good verbal communication skills Good written skills Can clearly articulate an idea Able to probe beyond a customer’s expressed needs, to identify potential future requirements Technical Expertise Possess a broad understanding of current IT technical architecture (i.e., what is and is not possible) Understands one or more technologies with the ability to manipulate an application (i.e., create a form and move it onto a database) Knowledge of Transcend functionality, capabilities, and modules a plus. Understands and demonstrates the ability to perform calculations related to financial mathematics including contingent deferred sales charges. Education: BA/BS Degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science Experience: Typical candidates in this role will possess 1+ years of relevant experience Description: Major Opportunities and Decisions: This position performs under moderate supervision to ensure that the business requirements of the customer are accurately and completely documented and integrated into project planning. Work deliverables produced by a Business Analyst I include Business Requirements, Functional Specifications/Use Cases, Test Plans, Test Cases, Testing, and Test Results. This position requires a development of business knowledge relative to Retirement’s applications and technology through learning applications and relevant business data within administrative system or interfaces. Business Analyst I participates in business requirements gathering. Pro-actively identifies opportunities for re-engineering and may lead re-engineering efforts.
