Job Title: PHP Developer Location:Irving, TX Duration:6 month+ contracts. Local candidates are definitely preferred. Strong development and infrastructure background with the following applications. Again this person will help to diagnose and determine fixes for this product. (PHP, Apache, MySQL, and Linux) Responsible for capacity plan. The application is written in PHP and the DB backend is MySQL. Based on the most recent SOA test results, the CTS Hosted/Linux Apache environment scales to 50 users before the application became unresponsive and failed. The expectation was for 300 concurrent users. This was the achievable based on the current IIS/Windows environment. The immediate need is identify the performance issues, document a capacity plan to resolve, and roadmap to bring the application to enterprise class and scale to 1,000+ users. This should support the first of many contracts the customer has signed for this software solution. Technologies PHP Apache HTTPD MySQL Linux : AS v6 All of these data points will resolve to the capacity plan as will similar data points such as: Number and location of users (user count and locations) Transaction volumes steady state, as well as peak Concurrent usage profiles (if known) Peak times of day, week, month, and year Critical path and functions being served (e.g. reservations, check in, account lookup) Hours of operation and maintenance windows by application (SLA in terms of percent up time is good to know as well) Business continuity or criticality to business operations.
