Role: Messaging Upgrade Architect Location : Irving, TX Duration : 1+ years
JOB DESCRIPTION: We are in the process of upgrading Messaging Backbone environment to Commercial Sendmail version 4.2. The role will be to evaluate and upgrade to new infrastructure and architecture. Role will also include migration of current business rules and dependant systems to the upgraded environment without any business impact. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Review Messaging Backbone Design (Sendmail Sentrion 4.2) • Experience with Proofpoint infrastructure • Undergo integration aspect of the upgrade such as design review, staging, QA, implementation, pilot and production. • Ensure integration with all dependant application systems, business rules and co-ordination with downstream products such as Directory, Exchange, Secure Email and Data Loss Protection. • Install and QA Sendmail Sentrion servers in the infrastructure per design. • Develop tools to automate operational tasks. • Provide expert support to Operational team. • Liaison with all stakeholders to identify milestones in the project and drive to the closure. • Ensure compliance ,regulatory and Information security aspects are included in overall design and implementation of Messaging Backbone. • Involve in continual improvement of Messaging Backbone and its projects. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: • Minimum of 5+ years technical experience in Messaging products and services • Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience on Unix and Linux environment. • Experience working in the VMware environment. • Strong knowledge and experience of Sendmail is required. • Strong experience in Perl and shell scripting. • Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Active Directory, LDAP, SMTP, SQL, Firewall and Network Infrastructure. • Strong knowledge of ITIL or other framework is preferred. • Knowledge and experience in project management is desired. • Experience with products such as Microsoft Identity Integration Server (MIIS), Exchange, Blackberry is a plus.
