Job Description :



IT Support Specialist II

•             The tasks performed by the IT Support Specialist will involve
efficient resolution of external customer issues via Remedy tickets for
client applications.

•             *Experience in a fast-paced production environment and the
ability to handle multiple, simultaneous problems with changing priorities
is highly desirable*.

•             This position requires the candidate to be a self-directed
team player with excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and
written), organization, and time management skills.

•             In this role, the candidate will develop and implement
procedures and processes to improve operations.

•             The candidate should have good problem
solving/troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify solutions and
improvement opportunities.

•             The candidate will need to keep abreast of developments and
trends in the environment.

•             The candidate should make timely, sound decisions, while
understanding and considering the impact of those decisions.



*Required Skills, Experience and Education: *



•             Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.

•             Intermediate level of Unix experience.

•             *1-3 years PC experience. Windows desktop operating systems
and browsers (user level)*

•             Knowledge of enterprise database concepts



Preferred, but not required technology experience:

•             Unix (navigation and command level expertise)

•             Remedy or other ticketing system (Tkt creation life cycle
usage)

•             Autosys or other job scheduling system (Debugging failed job)

•             Sybase/Oracle databases (medium level expertise on SQLs)
•             Understanding of basic Networking technology
