Job Title: Lead COBOL Programmer
Location: Windsor, CT
Length: 6 months to start
Main duties and responsibilities:
As a COBOL Tech Lead,
Develop COBOL programs to read/write data in DB2 database
Develop COBOL programs to read/write data in IMS database
Develop COBOL programs to read/write or support IBM MQ transactions
Create JCL to support or submit COBOL jobs
Work with Tech Leads to:
Get Knowledge transition to understand Mainframe system
Understand Build and deployment process
Understand Support and Maintenance process
As a Lead COBOL developer
Develop Technical designs
Interface with Team offshore and CLIENT for COBOL related activities
Requirements:
Experience in specific programs
Minimum 7 years of experience in developing COBOL programs
Minimum (3-5) years of experience in developing COBOL – IMS programs
Minimum (3-5) years of experience in developing COBOL – DB2 programs
Minimum (2-4) years of experience in developing COBOL – MQ programs
Minimum (2-4) years of experience in developing JCLs
