Title: Business Analyst
Location: Houston, TX (NEED LOCAL)
Type: 2 year contract
Position Description:
Responsible for serving as a liaison between the L&R IT and L&R business
community and the SDLC Program team in order to provide SDLC solutions to
meet L&R IT organization needs.
Possesses an working knowledge and strong understanding of project
management methodologies (e.g. SDLC (Agile & Waterfall) technological
trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units
supported to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge.
Analyzes L&R IT processes and workflows to understand their strengths and
weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for
new SDLC Platform Methodology.
Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications
for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications.
Strong working knowledge of SDLC process, designing and creating of
workflows and very strong verbal and written communication skills.
Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between
business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation.
May act as change management agent.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business
Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience and 6+
years of relevant technical or business work experience.
