*Required Skills:* The software is written in C#.NET and runs on a standard PC Cognex are short of staff to do this work so are looking for software developers with 2-3 years of experience in C#.NET, WinForms. This is pretty much all that’s needed but some knowledge of PC to embedded interfaces would not go amiss *Cognex make automatic inspection systems to allow inspection of almost anything from a diaper on a production line to a bagel or a bottle or a precision machining* The system consists of a camera, a TI based DSP pattern recognition box and a PC interface and links to PLC controllers. *Presently a system is one cameras.* A Cognex customer can set the system up to say recognize a hole in a piece of metal and measure its diameter, or it could be set up to recognize the position of a part, determine where it should be and send commands to a PLC controller to correct the position The Cognex customer sets the system up using spread sheet and dragging suitable commands into different cells of the spread sheet.
