The applications are integrated with both Oracle and DB2 databases and are used in support of critical business functions. The developer role will be responsible for understanding and supporting all products and processes in production to ensure that application have high availability in order to meet business needs for successful customer service in all customer segments. The developer will become subject matter expert on these applications and support the day to day operations. The developer should also possess excellent verbal and written communications skills as interaction with various levels of management within IT and business will be required. The developer will be responsible for timely and thorough troubleshooting of application issues and will implement solutions quickly. They will coordinate with the appropriate internal department’s resources to assist with problem resolution. There may be some interface with vendors as needed. Communications will occur both verbal and written to external customers. Work with multiple groups across the firm to resolve issues.
