*Description*
Responsible for managing, supporting, and updating client’s key web
applications and its contents. The Middleware Administrator will support
and maintain multiple middleware applications and web sites with various
duties such as producing reports, software updates, monitoring uptime, and
provide customer support, to ensure web services and programs function
securely and efficiently. This position will serve as a subject matter
expert in IBM WebSphere technology stack (minimum WebSphere Application
Server v6.x and v7.x; optionally MQ, Process Server, Portal Server, HTTP
Server, and Microsoft IIS).

***Fully Responsible for:
Gather relevant requirements for Middleware support from IT teams
Design, deploy, and administer business applications and ESB integrations
on IBM and Microsoft technology stack
Perform application and network topology design documentation
Perform deployment automation processes and procedures
Conduct performance tuning and improvement of business applications
Perform general application troubleshooting and resolution during system
unavailability
Document best practices and transfer knowledge to AIG Life and Retirement
Application Integration Middleware (AIM) members and customers
Conduct weekly communication and periodic status reporting
Perform other miscellaneous tasks assigned by AIM Manager

***Partially Responsible for:
Provide customer service support to clients’ applications during USA CST
business hours
Occasionally provide customer service support during weekends and after
hours
Interact with application stakeholders and AIG data center technical teams

***Techniques (Technologies – Methodologies – Professional Knowledge):
Strong skills in administering, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and
monitoring of WebSphere suite based applications especially WebSphere
Application Server
Good skills in IBM MQ, WebSphere Process Server, HTTP Server, and Microsoft
IIS
Hands on experience in deploying and configuring web services on IBM
DataPower ESB
Hands on experience in building data maps in WTX and XSLT
Expertise in implementing SSL-based configurations
Experience in working with Linux/UNIX environments
Good Knowledge of network load balancing and firewall configuration
Good Knowledge of Linux/UNIX scripting
Good Knowledge of other Microsoft-based technologies (e.g. Microsoft
BizTalk, MSMQ)
Some development experience desired
