*JOB Description*:

This is a great opportunity for an experienced and innovative Business
Systems Consultant who would like to work in a Global BI and Data
Visualization Group.  As a member of the Team, they will have the
opportunity to work and collaborate with other very bright individuals
working on new and exciting projects.  They will work in a supportive
environment that encourages every team member to share their ideas,
thoughts and cultivate their creative abilities. This is a highly
visibility position requiring interaction with all levels of management and
supporting both the business and technology groups on the design and
end-to-end delivery of interactive dashboard solutions, ensuring data
consistency across applications. Will help to define and maintain
architecture and development standards, identify opportunities for data and
object reuse and develop a quality assurance framework integrated into the
development process.



*Required Skills*

The candidate must have strong communication (written and verbal),
presentation and interpersonal skills.   They must be able to function
independently throughout the lifecycle of a project and also a strong “A”
team player and flexible to adapt as the projects evolve.  Must be
proficient at translating business needs to technical requirements and
highly experienced in requirements gathering, system and workflow analysis,
functional specifications, use-case writing, process and design diagrams
and proficient with MS Project, Visio and Excel.

Working knowledge of the Insurance Industry (Property /Casualty), terms,
processes



*Responsibilities: *

•             Lead requirements meetings to address required application
functionality, and the business reasons for those requirements

•             Create business cases that justify the rationale of the
organization making significant investments in technology

•             Analyze and document data requirements and data sources for
system enhancements

•             Proficient at creating all SDLC documents including gathering
and writing functional and system design specifications for web based,
reporting and data visualization solutions

•             Creation of Story Boards that visually depict the association
between requirements and a technology solution's user experience.

•             Experience in writing detailed business plans and business
cases with detailed scopes of work and cost/benefit analysis (ROI)

•             Ability to deliver informative, well-organized presentations
to all levels of the organization

•             Liaison between business users and technical staff throughout
project lifecycle

•             Experience in and understanding of a wide variety of
analytical processes (governance, measurement, etc.)

•             Work with project team to document, design and create
innovative solutions

•             Specify, and conduct, the analysis using appropriate
tools/techniques, and deliver high quality analysis work to the business
users, along with actionable insights and recommendations

•             Proficient in, or can quickly grasp applicable business
processes and functions

•             Willingness and ability to suggest areas of improvement

•             Provide direction to resources, monitor development efforts,
assemble key project deliverables, report project status, and raise
awareness on issues requiring escalation

•             Must be detail-oriented with abilities to multi-task and to
effectively handle changing requirements

•             Support System Testing and User Acceptance Testing

•             Ability to work independently with limited supervision or as
part of a team

•             Professional, energetic and self-motivated with a well
defined work ethic

•             Knowledge of database concepts and software development tools
and methodologies

•             Proficiency in MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point,
and MS Visio

•             Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of relevant experience



*Preferred Skills*

•             Current with business best practice methods, IT technology
trends and can correlate potential impacts that technology may have on the
business

•             Advanced Education (MBA / Masters)

•             PMP Certification, CMM Level 2 or better / Six Sigma

•             Business Intelligent Competency Centers (BICC)

•             Data Visualization and BI Tools (Cognos, Qlikview, Tableau)

•             Experience in developing Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
