Bachelor’s Degree in a computer related field plus 5+ years as a Linux
administrator
Broad knowledge and experience inLinux technology and platform
Ability redesign architecture in a mixed and virtualized environment
supported by Linux
Excellent skills in troubleshooting and resolving system problems in a
timely manner
Demonstrated ability to manage configuration in a complex virtual
environment.
Demonstrated ability to “best practices” to system administration activities
Ability support migration to a virtualized/thin-client desktop
infrastructure.
Recommend and implement innovative solutions for architecture improvements
General knowledge of: SDLC methodologies
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff and
clients
Team player with ability to mentor less experienced staff

Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS)
Windows Domain Administration (2003 and newer)
Microsoft System Center
WordPress Administration
SQL Server, MySQL
Scsi and fiber channel
PowerShell scripting
VMWare Administration – Vcenter, DRS (Operations Manager and other tools
desirable)
Patching processes and tools
Citrix MetaFrame/Citrix Xen Desktop
Active Directory
Backup systems - Netbackup
Performance tuning in a virtual environment
Blade server deployment and administration
