Summary
Part of a global team supporting IT infrastructure
Under general direction, provide production support for a large Local and
Wide Area Network environment
Access and troubleshoot network equipment, analyze using network
monitoring tools and report/track the troubleshooting effort.
*Technical Skills*
Cisco networking basics (router and switch configuration and operation)
General knowledge of network circuits
Network monitoring and analysis tools
Understanding of IP
Basic knowledge of VolP
*Non-Technical Skills*
Good English reading, writing and verbal communication skills
Good telephone skills
Able to work remotely
Enjoys working in a team environment
Quickly learn new concepts
Documentation, updating trouble tickets and follow-up on work requests.
*Job Requirements*
Round-the-clock, global operation 7 days x 24 hours
May require working non-business hours depending on project/business
needs.
*Education*
Minimum educational requirement is a bachelor of Computer Science or
related background.
Preference to candidates having Cisco CCNA or CCNP
*Job Catalog description of a Network Enqineer Level 2*
Operates a company's internal data communications systems, including LANs
and/or WANs. Plans, designs and implements networked systems, including
configurations, supporting/troubleshooting network problems and
coordinating with vendors for installation of such items as routers,
bridges, concentrators and switches. Works on project
implementation. Provides training and assists with proposal writing.
Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons.
