*JOB DESCRIPTIONS:-*
*I have a urgent need for a VMWARE/Linux expert. They need to be extremely
comfortable with VMWARE 5.1 minimum. MUST be LINUX*
Seeks a Systems Engineer that will help architect, implement and support
our private and public cloud environments. In this role you will work
with teams across the company to gather requirements. You will assist in
the design highly available solutions for our corporate, Data Centers and
studio environments. You will help manage hardware/software vendors. You
will manage our virtual environments for both our private data centers and
cloud provider space. You will be an escalation point for systems issues
and you will provide mentorship to our technology generalists.
*You must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a live environment,
supporting data centers and virtual instances in global enterprise
environment:*
- Server Technologies ( HP, Dell, others)
- Storage experience with management and performance tuning
- SAN Block storage ( EMC VMAX and VNX, Pure Storage )
- Fiber Channel SAN management ( Brocade directors and switches )
- iSCSI and NFS experience
- Linux Operating Systems ( RHEL, CentOS 6 and 7, Ubuntu 14.04 )
- Virtualization Technologies ( Private: vSphere, KVM, XEN ), Public:
AWS, Azure, vCloud Air )
- Cloud Management Tools ( vCenter, OpenStack )
- vCAC / vCOPs / VDP / vRealize / vDS switches / PowerCLI
- Expert level experience of UNIX/Linux operating system; performance
analysis and tuning systems
- Expert level experience deploying and configuration of virtual
instances.
- Experience using and optimizing monitoring and trending systems like:
Nagios, Zenoss, Zabbix, Cacti, Graphite, etc.
- Prior experience and willingness to participate in a 24/7 on call
rotation supporting business critical applications or systems.
- Exposure and some experience scripting or programming
- Nice to have a technical blog or github page with code samples or
architecture designs.
- Exposure and some experience Layer2 experience (VTP, 802.1q trunking,
Spanning Tree Protocol)
- TCP Accelerators (Wanscaler, Steelhead) a plus
*What we expect of candidates*
- Linux certifications preferred.
- Experience performing system and network application load testing and
identifying and addressing hardware, network, system, or application
bottlenecks
