*JOB TITLE: SR PL/SQL DEVELOPER LOCATION: ST.LOUIS, MO DURATION: 6+MONTHS*

*Description:*
*POSITION OVERVIEW:*
Designs, develops, modifies, and implements software systems designed to
support new or existing business initiatives. Projects are usually of
considerable complexity and require a mastery of development tools. Works
in all phases of a project and reviews work of less experienced staff
members. Performs maintenance on existing software products.
· Ability to implement complex business logic and working in environment
with a short development cycle.
· Design/Develop Oracle PL/SQL code (stored procedures, triggers etc),
testing (based on the requirements and document results), implementation
and bug fix resolution of the application enhancements for multiple
projects.
· Lead innovations by exploring, investigating, recommending, benchmarking
and implementing new technologies for the Oracle platform.
· Willingness to learn and support new tools, such as Attunity Data
Replication.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:*
· Codes and performs unit and integration testing of software to ensure
proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical
requirements
· Codes, tests, and debugs new software or makes enhancements to existing
software
· Designs and writes programs according to functional and non-functional
requirements
· Develops technical documentation
· Resolves in a timely manner problems that arise with existing production
applications to ensure the efficient and proper functioning of application
components
· Collaborates with technical staff to learn and understand software
problems
· Provides general system users and management with system analysis and
feedback
· Influences system design by identifying and recommending design and
requirements needs for software enhancements
· Mentors and coaches less experienced staff
· Maximizes the efficiency of the various software systems by implementing,
monitoring, testing and auditing new software programs
· Analyzes and resolves computer related problems by coordinating with
in-house personnel to diagnose and fix operational issue, as well as
consulting, advising and training on specialized features and functions
· Follows established configuration/change control processes
*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:*
· 5 plus years experience with major DBMS
· 5 plus years experience with coding, testing and design
· 5 plus years experience with software development methodologies
*EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION LICENSES:*
· BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field or
equivalent work experience.
