Qualifications:
5 years Business Intelligence or Data Warehousing experience
Bachelors Degree (preferably in MIS, Business Intelligence, Mathematics, or
Computer Science) or equivalent experience
Multidimensional Expression (MDX) language proficiency
Strong familiarity with OLAP tools (e.g. Excel, Reporting Services, COGNOS)
Proficient with SQL
Experience working with MS SQL Server
SQL Server relational database experience
Excellent understanding of Dimensional Modeling (Kimball Star Schema)
Experience with basic data mining techniques a plus
Understanding of data visualizations techniques and best practices
Strong client facing skills including the ability to communicate with the
business and technology areas and work with client’s senior management
Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner and collaboratively
as a team member
First-rate time management skills including the ability to effectively
prioritize and execute tasks
Understanding of common development methodologies such as waterfall, agile,
and prototyping
Knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance terminologies and processes are
highly preferred
Previous experience with Data Quality tracking processes/systems (ex.
Quality Center) is a plus
Previous experience with statistical analysis tools is a plus
