Role : Backup Avamar Admin Duration :Long term Location : Corning, NY Role & Responsibilities • He will involve in Implementation, Installation and Configuration for Data Domain and Avamar backup and archival solutions for small to enterprise customer environments including VTL, De-duplication etc which meets regulatory compliances. • He is responsible for providing transformation solution, approach, plan and implement the same with team of Backup implementation engineers • He will take up backup and archival assessment engagement which involves detailed study to recommend the tactical and strategical solution to customer. • He is responsible for solution presentations to customer. • Sizing of backup infrastructure, Data Domain, Avamar, recommending backup solution for virtual, physical, typical infra application , defining the backup policies( For EMC Netowrker vendor product )
Job Requirements/Descriptions - Should be well versed with backup and archival technologies - Should be well versed with backup, Data Domain & Avamar solution (Minimum two technology skills are mandatory – For Implementation and Design) - Sound knowledge on trouble shooting backup issues - Must have hand-on experience on DATA DOMAIN and AVAMAR - Should have knowledge on SAN and NAS technologies Skills: • Extensive experience in installing, upgrading, and maintaining backup and archival environment ( Data Domain and Avamar) • Working knowledge of EMC Networker Backup technology • Working Knowledge on UNIX and windows operating systems. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills on AVAMAR and Data Domain. • Good customer service and communication (oral and written) skills. Ability to deliver professional engagement documentation.
