*Position Title: Dashboard Developer (Xcelsius)* *Duration : Initial 6 months Contract can extend upto 18 months* *Location: Harrisburg, PA* *# of Openings: 2* *Start Date : ASAP * We usually see candidates with Business Objects Experience with SAP BW / BEx backend experience apply for these roles. We use Business Objects with a Relational Database Backend (For Example : Oracle , Teradata , DB2 , SQL Server …..) , this is an important distinction because designing a universe with traditional databases is very different than using BW/BEx which uses Bex queries for pulling the dataset. Hence please make sure the candidates are strong in Business Objects Universe Design using databases like Oracle , SQL Server , DB2 , Teradata ….. along with Dashboard Experience. We would prefer to *stay away* from candidates with SAP BW /BEx experience. We are open to training candidates in SAP HANA Technology as long as they are stronger with Business Objects Dashboard Development Experience. *Job Summary: * The Senior Business Objects Developer is a key role in the Enterprise Business Intelligence Analyticsand Architecture team and works closely with business leaders and users to define and design the BIDashboards, Reports presentation and Information Delivery for business intelligence applications. Thisincludes coaching and training BI Developers and internal users in the use of business intelligencepresentation tools to enhance business decision-making capability. This role will also be responsible for design and implementation of the BI Tools and architecture to support next generation datawarehouse. Researches new technology and develops business cases to support enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions including reports, dashboards, scorecards and mobile BI content delivery. We have deployed Business Objects Tools accessing the SAP HANA Database, Oracle,Salesforce.com , SAP ERP. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Implement Business Intelligence (BI) Presentation tools with in the Organization for the next generation data warehouse with a focus on usability and ease of use for standard reports,dashboards, drill down reports, scorecards and mobile BI. ? Lead & manage project technical team BI Analytic s deliverables to ensure business objectives are met ? Work with business managers to identify where business intelligence can be applied in supporting global business objectives ? Partner with business analysts to understand requirements, source systems, and perform data analysis. ? Maintain and foster collaborative efforts with all integrated business functions and the team to identify, establish, and share best practices ? Design, develop and deploy user content (reports, dashboards, subscriptions) via business intelligence (BI) product ? Translates business requirements into Business Objects Reports and Dashboard design ? Design and create key architectural components, such as Universe Design , Explorer ? Lead presentation layer Unit and Integration Testing activities and assist in User Acceptance Testing as needed ? Develops key delivery items, such as reports, scorecards and dashboards ? Review, research and develop a strategy for implementing rapid prototyping using industry-leading tools ? Work closely with end users to produce prototypes of BI solutions and user interfaces and define end user analytical requirements ? Work closely with project Business Analyst, Data Architect and ETL Developer to ensure that the& nbsp;end to end designs meet the business and data requirements ? Work closely with Project Manager to develop and update the task plan for BI work and to keep the manager aware of any critical task issues and dependencies on other teams ? Develop proof of concept’s to showcase BI tool functionality to the end users and management audience including report and dashboards. ? Define standards and best practices for installing, configuring and using business intelligence applications for the purpose of directing and managing the organization ? Demo Dashboards and Reports to the Business Team members and elicit feedback to refine the BI Deliverables REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS: ? Minimum of 8 + years’ Experience in the design and implementation with SAP Business ObjectsBI Product Suite ( Web Intelligence , Explorer , Xcelsius , Lumira and Mobile BI) ? Minimum of 8 + years of experience with Business Intelligence/ Datawarehouse data store design ( Datawarehouse / Datamart / Operational Data Store) environment ? Hands on Experience in Dashboard Design and Development using Xcelsius Designer/ Business Objects Dashboards Design ? Hands on Experience in Universe Design using Universe Designer / Information Design Tool ? Hands on experience with Web Intelligence , QAAWS , Live Office , Launchpad< /p> ? Experience with Business Objects Enterprise / SAP Business Intelligence Analytics Platform 4.0 ? Hands on experience in the design of Business Objects Enterprise Server Platform Infrastructure ? Knowledge of business intelligence best practice processes, tools, standards and practices ? Strong analytical and conceptual design skills; strong problem-solving skills PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: ? Experience in development of reporting and analytics business capabilities, strategy and roadmap ? Experience using data visualization tools such as SAP Lumira would be a plus ? Experience in definition of Business Intelligence technical architectures ? Hands on experience with relational and star schema data modeling is a plus ? Demonstrated competency in accurately identifying the scope of work and preparing thorough,accurate and detailed schedule estimates. ? Experience with In-memory analytics tools (SAP HANA) would be a plus but not required EDUCATION: ? BS / BA in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Engineering or Equivalent OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS: ? Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms ? Must have excellent client-facing skills; solid teamwork and interpersonal skills; strong ability to work independently when appropriate ?
