Hello,
*client* is looking for a *Senior Capacity and Performance Engineer* in
Jersey city for a contract role to support Availability and Capacity
Planning effort for management reporting to support a Centralized Capacity
Database with connectivity to , Business Data, Storage, AIX Capacity
Database and VMware Capacity Database for our financial Client. The ideal
candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in performance/capacity
management including development of monthly management reports, forecasting
and trending of resource usage and correlation with KVIs, as well as
service level reporting for availability and response time.
The technical skills sets required include:
- Strong SQL skills to select, manipulate and summarize metrics captured
from various databases
- Extensive knowledge of Excel
- PIVOT tables
- vLookup
- Excel Macros
- Experience with scripting ETL solutions utilizing languages like
Python/PERL/PowerShell/Chef/Puppet/php or VB
- Development Experience a Plus
- Able to Define availability measurement methodology for 5 critical
applications and leverage Client Client and OPNET reporting of availability
as well as What's UP Gold reporting for web based transactions.
- Able to Develop an Availability Dashboard for monthly management report
- Able to Integrate CMDB information to define the application-server
mappings to facilitate availability calculations in the centralized
database.
- Able to obtain linkage to business repositories and centralize volume
data into the capacity database for applications defined.
- Deliver Storage reporting of capacity for critical applications to
provide "show back of resource usage.
- Deliver Server reporting of capacity for critical applications to
provide "show back of resource usage.
