The scope of work to be performed by the successful respondent (Contractor) includes the following: • Develop new JAVA applications. • Enhance existing JAVA applications. • Work with users to gather business requirements. • Provide maintenance and support for JAVA applications as needed. • Provide project leadership. • Develop and/or enhance project and technical documentation. • Work with State staff to mentor them in JAVA development skills. • Other duties as assigned. *Qualification Requirements for the Contractor. * *a. Required Skills * • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with technical and user staff • Demonstrated experience with developing database driven applications in a JAVA environment using Eclipse IDE • Demonstrated experience with Apache Tomcat application server • Demonstrated experience working with users to gather and document business requirements • Demonstrated experience with DB2 *b. Preferred Skills * • Demonstrated experience using ICEFaces Framework • Demonstrated experience with ADABASE • Demonstrated experience with NATURAL • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server • Demonstrated experience with Crystal Reports • Previous experience developing applications for the Department of Financial Services’, Division of Information Systems.
