This position requires strong organizational, technical, and communications skills. The DBA must be proficient in different phases of database administration, architecture, capacity planning and maintaining of large Oracle Enterprise databases. He should be responsible for the daily technical support of SAP database systems. Works with the application development team, the infrastructure team, business units and the software vendors to develop and ensure a viable and consistent capacity and recovery solution. Responsibilities: 7-10+ years Oracle DBA experience (10g/11g) Database 5+ years’ experience working with Oracle supporting SAP Applications. Database The DBA must participate and perform Oracle Migration for SAP Apps from Solaris to Linus Create, maintain, and support Oracle architectural environment Oracle Perform database database/schema copies using Utilities such as expdmp/impdmp Extensive experience working with RMAN for backup, recovery and duplicate databases. physical Must independently work to set up and configure standby databases. Monitor standby database performance and create copies out of standby database. development Participate the SQL code review and advise teams of best practices in coding methodologies Advanced knowledge of performance tuning including SQL Profiles, Baselines etc.. potential Proactively monitor the database to identify problems and take necessary steps to avert them international Handle daily production issues, projects and rollout of SAP Exadata, Experience with Oracle advanced technologies such RAC, ASO, ASM, ACO etc. Excellent communication skills are a must Work comfortably with minimal supervision and 24x7 production on-call support during off-hours weekend will be required. Experience with administering SQL server databases.
