*Job Description*
Ø *Provide L3 Support – bugfix and minor enchancement of Big Data
applications.*
Ø Responsible for supporting data Ingestion, data quality, development and
testing/deployment strategy in BigData development (Hadoop).
Ø Acts as a lead in identification and troubleshooting processing issues
impacting timely availability of data in the BigData or delivery of
critical reporting within established SLAs. Provide mentoring to Level 2
production support team.
Ø *Familiar with all components of the BigData stack in detail, e.g.,
Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Python, Sqoop, Oozie. *
Ø *Experience with Java is a must.*
Ø Support, design and build data ingestion, data quality framework.
Ø Participate in comprehensive knowledge transition from development teams
on new or modified applications moving to ongoing production support.
Ø Researches, manages and coordinates resolution of complex issues through
root cause analysis as appropriate
Ø Participate in agile concepts such as daily stand-up meetings, task
tracking boards, design and code reviews.
Ø Work closely with service engineering, operations, and Hadoop users.
Ø BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent. 3-5 years of experience in
Hadoop environment.
Ø Strong in Hadoop and related technologies. Experience with ETL tools
like Talend / Datastage is a plus.
Ø 2-3 years developing and supporting data ingestion framework for
BigData/Hadoop. ( Example: Hive , Java, Pig, Oozie, Sqoop, Kafka etc).
Ø Passion to develop high-quality and extraordinary solutions to real
complex distributed-computing problems
Ø Experience in large scale Hadoop cluster management
Ø Excellent Linux scripting skills and understanding of system performance
areas (memory, swap, disk, i/o, network i/o, etc.)
Ø Effective software design and problem solving skills
Ø Deep understanding of data management, Data Quality and Data Integration.
Ø Willingness to work in a dynamic agile environment and participate in
all aspects of our agile process
Ø Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, team spirit,
and positive approach
Ø *Experience with: Hadoop, Sqoop, Pig, Hive, Oozie, HBase and Java.*
Ø *Knowledge of Kafka and Chef is a plus*
