*Need a person with experience doing: 1) Enterprise data warehouse
dimensional modeling 2) Enterprise data warehouse relational modeling 3)
Stakeholder requirements gathering and excellent communications 4) Using
big data such as Google Analytics Big Query or Twitter as a data
source 5)
Decent Big Data knowledge*
The Sr. Data Modeler will work closely with project teams to understand
business requirements and provide data modeling subject matter expertise.
Strong quantitative and analytic skills are required
This position is for Data Engineering and Analytics Solutions organization.
Our primary partner for whom we have to model the data is our Data
Analytics team. We deal with structured, unstructured and streaming data.

*BI Platform:*
- Database – RedShift
- ETL – Informatica
- BI – Cognos
- Data Visualization – Tableau
- Data Modeling – Erwin
*Big Data Platform:*
- Data Stores - S3, HDFS
- Database - RedShift, NoSQL (not decided yet)
- ETL - Pig, Hive
- BI, Data Viz - Cognos, Tablea
*Mandatory Skills and Experience*
- Develop logical and physical data models
- Experience working closely with business users in understanding the
data, business requirements and converting them into logical models.
- *5+ years of data modeling and metadata management experience.*
- Experience with both relational and dimensional data modelling
- Experience having designed and involved in building large data
warehouses or data marts
- Experience with data management standards and data model practices
- Experience in one or more the data modeling tools - *ERWin or
ER/Studio*
- Experience in one or more relational database systems - *Oracle or
DB2. Preferred RedShift*
- Have good conceptual understanding of how to model data in various
databases including relational and *NoSQL*
*Preferred Skills & Experience*
- Exposure or knowledge in data modeling in NoSQL databases like
Key-Value databases, Document databases, etc.
- Hive or Pig or any of the query languages in Hadoop environment.
- Preferred if has understanding of database concepts, Normalization
rules, relational algebra
