The Technical Product Management, Digital and Developed Markets is
looking for a technical product manager that is passionate about
building scalable, secure and user friendly mobile and web solutions
in a fast-paced agile environment. This includes engaging in technical
and functional discussions with many teams and continuous cross
functional reviews with product managers and customers across a range
of Client's new and existing products. Successful candidates will be
highly adaptable, possess strong interpersonal and organizational
skills and able to effectively manage multiple work streams.
Responsibilities - General:
• Management of technical product management functions including
business requirements elaboration, systems and process flow analysis,
meeting critical milestones and deliverables that are time and scope
boxed
• Heavy collaboration across business and technology organization,
providing sound business analysis, process and change leadership
within a maturing, hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) PDLC framework
• Working with limited direction, usually within a complex and
evolving environment, to drive delivery of solutions while influencing
cultural change
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and
to resolve scheduling and other conflicts in order to meet all
deadlines.
• Provide guidance to technology groups in their development of design
artifacts and Quality Assurance test plans
• Plan and conduct User Acceptance Testing with key stakeholders
• Work with Product Owners to continually evaluate product
capabilities and provide guidance to product roadmap and strategy
Qualifications:
• 7 or more years of relevant experience in technical product and
program management
• Strong analytical skills to develop technical and functional
requirements, use cases, user story maps and other related artifacts.
• Experience in reviewing technical solution design and evaluation to
ensure it meets business requirements and long term product goals.
• Experience in mobile front-end UX design patterns and strong mobile
development and market experience.
• Knowledge of the payment industry with supplemental experience in
mobile, electronic funds transfer, retail banking or card processing
is preferred.
• Product/project management or product development in the financial
services industry is preferred.
• Reputation for being a collaborative thought partner and business
leader, skilled at establishing formal and informal networks within
the company
• Strong coordination skills with demonstrated ability to facilitate
large scale planning, development and user acceptance testing efforts
• Superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with
both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in working with agile lifecycle and/or tracking and
process management tools, e.g. Rally, JIRA
• Educational background in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
is highly desirable.
Must have skills
Candidate must have engineering, programming, or architecture
background/degree/experience. They must have professional PM
experience specifically in the PRODUCT space - not project. Targeting
candidates in the 7-10 years of product management experience range.
Manager is looking for a candidate with longer tenured projects. (i.e.
Does NOT want to see a 'career contractor'). Ideal candidate will have
an engineering/development background before moving into the product
management space.
Nice to have skills
Mobile UX design experience is very nice to have. Education/degree in
Computer Science or Engineering is highly desirable.
