Telephonic Long Term No H1B’s Function as Senior Consulting Resource to assist Technical Staff in ensuring all PeopleSoft Database and Application functionality is optimized for ConnectCarolina. This person will work with the existing Infrastructure and Operations Technical Staff, EA Technical Staff and Leadership. This is for the support PeopleSoft HCM 9.1, FMS 9.1 and Campus Solutions 9.0 as well as the Enterprise Portal providing the following services: 1. We are looking for a proven expert who can help tune online performance of transactions and batch processing performance as well in the PeopleSoft environments. 2. The Performance Tuning Engineer needs to validate ERP system performance by defining metrics to measure business and operations systems success; develop and conduct tests of system integration, functional layers, and entire system and fix or suggest fixes to problems that are identified 3. The consultant would need to have experience with the pscbo_stats package which Oracle provides for PeopleSoft. 4. The consultant would need to have experience in the following areas; System Administration, Operating Systems, PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft HRMS, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, PeopleSoft Architecture Skills, Software Performance Tuning, Networking Knowledge, Software Requirements, Network Maintenance, Network Performance Tuning, Database Performance Tuning 1. The contractor will: a) Document an evaluation of application and database parameters – how client had them set, what they should be, how frequently they should be assessed based on what criteria (for example, every 6 months, once a year, when the tables double in size, and the like). b) Evaluate Finance instance first, then HCM and Campus Solutions. c) Provide an evaluation of how client’s Reporting environment (a clone of Production) could best be tuned to ensure good performance on reporting. 1. The contractor will be expected to provide complete knowledge transfer to technical team members to cover the work completed prior to the end of the contract. 2. Working directly with Staff to fully document any changes made in the course of the engagement. *Experience tuning PeopleSoft applications running on Oracle databases is required for this role*.
