*Job Description*
· As a .Net *Senior Software Engineer *you are responsible for
designing/developing new applications, enhancing existing products, and
adapting to new technologies to deliver the best solutions to our
customers.
· This includes technical design, architecture, and development of
ORIZON360°’s current and future systems.
· You will be utilizing the Microsoft stack(SQL Server, MVC, C#,
etc) for development activities, as well as other products and development
techniques that include but are not limited to JavaScript, Devexpress,
JQuery, HTML and CSS.
*Job* *Responsibilities*
- Design and develop user interfaces
- Design and develop application interfaces, including web services
- Design and develop middle tier business and database access layers
- Design and develop database stored procedures
- Translates functional requirements into system requirements and
technical designs
- Performs unit testing
- Performs user interface design
- Provides support for business applications
- Performs or assists with application installations
- Writes and maintains technical documentation
- Assists with estimates related to development tasks
- Build high performing and scalable code to support hundreds of
concurrent users
*Experience/Skills:*
· Develop new product features and applications within our
environment as well as maintaining and supporting existing applications
· Write appropriate unit, UI, performance and integration tests
· Deliver high quality code that is maintainable and readable and
adheres to our coding standards
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of application development experience
- Experience working in all phases of the System Development Life Cycle
- Understand industry best practices for software design and development
- Strong analytical, problem solving and issue resolution skills
- Ability to prepare clear and concise technical documentation
- Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative
environment
- Experienced with Dev-express
- Experienced in .Net, C#, Entity Framework and MVC
- Web service experience: ASMX/WCF/Web API
- SQL Server 2012 R2, creating stored procedures and views, SSIS package
development and general SQL optimization techniques
- Application optimization techniques
- Well versed in HTML 4/5 and CSS 2/3
- Demonstrate a high level of competence in object-oriented analysis,
design and coding in a .NET server-side environment, specifically utilizing
the Microsoft MVC framework.
- Work to pre-defined requirements and produce code that meet the
requirements
- Demonstrate a structured approach to development, using design
patterns where appropriate and using SOLID principles
- Take ownership of their work and contribute to an effective project
team
*Desirable Skills & Experience: *
- It is desirable that you can demonstrate experience with the following
with at least 3 years commercial experience in:
- NET development using C#, v4 and VS2010
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- ASP.NET development including MVC
- Web services including creating and consumption of WCF
- Microsoft entity framework, Linq and LinqToEntities
