This position is for a Senior, hands-on specialist who has deep technical expertise in the Hortonworks platform, with a focus on the Hadoop, HBase, and Phoenix components, and who has experience developing and delivering mission-critical data platforms for real-time analysis for production use. Overview: The Senior Hortonworks Specialist will be responsible for design and development of a real-time data analysis solution using the Hortonworks platform in support of the CFS Data Platform, which is an Investment Bank-wide strategic initiative to improve the operational and customer service capabilities of the firm. The Senior Hortonworks Specialist will have responsibility for unit-level design, coding, unit testing, integration testing and participating in the full SDLC. The candidate must have a sound grasp of development best practice and system architecture. The individual will be expected to produce high-quality code that can pass critical peer review, and to work under a high-pressure and timeline-driven environment.
