*Job Description : *
The Business Analyst (BA) is expected to document business requirements,
create mock-ups, and create field lists for a custom merchandising
application. The BA is also responsible for creating UAT scripts and
training manuals. In addition, the BA is also expected to conduct user
workshops, user acceptance test sessions, and training. Furthermore, the
BA is expected to act as an intermediary between business users, a third
party vendor and internal IT teams.
*Primary duties & responsibilities:*
- Collect, manage and/or participate in systems requirements, design,
testing, training, implementation and support initiatives.
- Analyse and evaluate current business and system processes, interfaces
and workflow, and recommend changes and enhancements to improve operational
efficiency.
- All other duties as assigned
*Qualifications (education, experience, & skills):*
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information
Technology or related discipline from an accredited four year college or
university or equivalent experience is highly preferred
- Required four plus years of experience as a Business Analyst. It is
preferable that the Business Analyst has some experience in the retail
industry
- Required two full lifecycles working as the primary Business Analyst
for an enterprise custom application. It is preferable that this
experience includes integration, conversion, workflows and GUI requirements.
- Exposure to software solutions, i.e., Salesforce.com, IBM Commerce /
Sterling, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications and
organizational skills
*Behaviour characteristics:*
- Ability to facilitate user workshops to finalize design decisions.
- Ability to translate business needs into business requirements.
- Ability to document / read As-Is and To-Be process flow diagrams.
- Strong analytical skills.
