*Job Description:*
· Execute a complex data center migration plan
· Act as the communication hub and activity center for all projects
related tasks and issue resolution.
· Construct a communication plan to be used during the entire
project, outlining appropriate levels of communication for each phase
· Develop risk analysis and mitigation/migration strategies
· Conduct an asset management inventory for all devices associated
with the move
· Maintain an updated inventory list of all server and network
hardware equipment
· Ensure application and business requirements are fully defined
and achieved at the end of the projects
· Provide hands-on assistance with datacenter infrastructure
provisioning and server/network equipment deployments if needed.
· Work with dozens of vendors and many internal departments to meet
objectives.
· Implement and manage systems backups (DR) for all critical systems
· Resolve day-to-day project issues.
*Requirements*
· BS in Computer Science or related field
· Ten plus years of hands-on Project Management experience
· At least 5 years responsible for total project delivery
· At least 5 years’ experience migrating or consolidating data
centers
· 1+ years of solid AWS experience
· Direct experience in AWS provisioning
· Strong knowledge of monitoring, logging and cost management tools
that integrate with AWS
· Strong knowledge of application deployment and data migration on
AWS
· Strong knowledge of Enterprise VPN and Amazon VPC integration
· Ability to analyze environments including existing data center
infrastructure, applications, and processes and create dependency maps of
IT services.
· Successful track record of delivering datacenter consolidation
projects involving at least 500 servers and 100 TB of disk
· Ability to work nights or weekends if needed
· *Meticulous* attention to detail and strong organization skills
· *Excellent *communication skills
· PMP certification is a plus
· Experience with software build and deployment technologies is
highly desirable.
