*Job description: *
· This is not a project, but rather an ongoing engagement with the
View Engineering teams. A person in this role will be a technical leader
for a product team, and will be responsible for providing technical
guidance and support to the engineering team (front end, back end, QA).
*Responsibilities:*
· This is a leadership role within a View Engineering team. They
will spend ~50% of their time meeting with stakeholders to understand and
formulate requirements and timelines, and will work with BAs to translate
into technical requirements. The remaining ~50% will be spent contributing
to codebase(s), and providing guidance and direction to their team. A
person in this role could spend some time working with Operations,
Performance Engineering, and Release Management to address performance and
release activities.
*Must Have Skills:*
· Experience leading development teams in a fast-paced Agile
environment.
· A combination of JavaScript and Java/Groovy development
experience, with an emphasis on Java.
· A hands-on technical leader who has experience delivering high
scale applications.
*Preferred requirements: *
· Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and “content delivery networks”
is a huge plus.
