Position: Senior SAP ABAP Developer with WebDynpro
Location: 3 United Nations, Plaza, New York, NY
Duration: Long Terms
EXP: 10 Years
Rate:$50/hr
The specific tasks to be accomplished are:
The Senior ABAP Developer will work under the supervision of the
Applications Cross Functional Services Development team leader / Systems
Analyst.
Related responsibilities will include:
1. Support the SMEs/Functional Analysts/Technical Analysts in
resolving the service manager calls/Production issues.
2. Development of RICEFW objects in SAP to complete the required
development as per the approved change requests.
3. Support and troubleshoot the programs and reports in the ERP
system as reported as system bugs.
4. Develop new reports or change the existing reports based on
the defects / requirement by the user.
5. Development and maintenance of programs and reports using
WebDynpro, Business Server Pages (BSP) and Smartforms.
6. Design, develop and support object services and workflow for
supporting the project.
7. Develop and maintain interface programs and procedures.
Monitor errors and suggest improvements in the technical areas.
8. Work closely with the Systems Analyst to ensure that the
application integrity is maintained across the enterprise.
9. Recommend architectural improvements and simplification of
interfaces to ensure consistency, data integrity and better performance.
10. Support the Structural Authorization in the report execution
and access.
11. Document all completed solutions. Create and maintain
documentation as per standard established.
12. Under the guidance of the Team lead, coordinate tasks and
activities assigned to the team. Periodically provide status updates and
activity summaries.
13. Keep abreast of developments within the area of information
technology and advises supervisor on new application areas and technology.
14. Ensure knowledge transfer to staff members in the team.
*The skills and experience required for this assignment are:*
1. University degree in Business administration, Computer
Science, Information systems management or related field.
2. Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in programming,
maintaining SAP applications using ABAP and/or ABAP Objects, WebDynpro,
Developing Custom enhancements and reports.
3. Develop compressive reports using ABAP list viewer (ALV),
ABAP Objects or interactive drill down reports.
4. Expert knowledge of SAP enhancement framework.
5. Experience with WebDynpro, Workflow, Smartforms, Sapscript,
ADOBE forms.
6. Experience in programming interfaces and transferring data
from/to SAP and external systems.
7. Experience with Process Integration, Payment Medium
Workbench, IDocs, ALE and web services.
8. Experience in understanding the identified gaps and provide
solution(s), translate it to technical efforts and estimate the work for
the same.
9. Experience in writing technical specifications.
10. Experience in leading a team of developers, conducting code
reviews and ensuring quality of development.
11. Experience in testing procedures and protocols.
