Position: SSL VPN Remote Access Specialist
Location: Washington, DC
Duration: 5 month contract plus renewals
Remote Access Systems Specialist
Responsible for design, testing, implementation, and escalation
support for remote access/telework solutions for the IMF. Requires
experience in one of the following areas from design, build, through
implementation (1) Desktop and Application Virtualization platforms
with associated management of virtualization infrastructure with high
levels of complexity and image building/maintenance (2) VPN
technologies including concepts, VPN configuration, and VPN deployment
with good understanding of networking and application protocols
(TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6), and security protocols (SSL, IPSec, IKEv2, PKI).
In addition, requires working knowledge of (1) Internet connectivity;
(2) routing concepts (3) firewall concepts (4) workstation and OS
configuration, setup, and Windows troubleshooting . Must be able to
resolve complex issues involving networking, security, and software
technologies . Must demonstrate ability to successfully deploy
technology in a complex environment. Must maintain detailed
configuration documentation and have excellent oral, written
communication skills.
In addition, experience on the following are preferred:
- 3-5 years of professional experience and expertise on
Juniper/PulseSecure or Cisco Remote Access VPN
- Hands on experience in managing Remote Access VPN
configuration/Design and deployment for Windows, Mac and Mobile
devices
- Familiarity with load balancing methods in a HA environment
- Working knowledge of setting up environment to integrate with
network management/monitoring system using SolarWinds
- Experience in packaging/testing and validation of client deployment
- Ability to deliver white board sessions, schedule/lead
meetings, prepare status/usage reports, build network diagram and
develop documentation
- Provide level-3 support when required
