*Position: ETL QA Engineer Location: Phoenix, AZ or Fort Worth, TXDuration:
6-12 months+ *

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Plans, designs, executes testing for Data Warehouse projects to certify
that they meet business and technical requirements. With minimum
supervision:
• Analyzes testability of requirements;
• Provides testing estimate
• Designs and prepares Test Strategies & Approach, testing metrics
and other testing artifacts.
• Creates test cases based on requirements and conducts reviews
with development team/business users.
• Prioritize and Executes functional tests and regression tests
• Reports defects, raises issues or concerns
• Participates in design meetings, risk analysis meetings
• Provides leadership and mentoring to junior staff, interns, and
business testers
• Create and maintain quality assurance standards and processes.
• Monitor common business specific quality measurement frameworks
and track improvement against predefined metrics.
• Plan and deploy software/DWH testing and project management
processes based on the current methodologies of the company.
• Create and monitor quality assurance-related activities at both
the program and project level to ensure appropriately planned and executed.
QUALIFICATIONS: (years 1+, 2+ etc ) (knowledgeable, ability, extensive,
expert, proficient, conversant)
• Undergraduate degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS or Engineering/Technology
or related field or equivalent experience/training
• 5+ years experience of database testing in PL/SQL, MS SQL Server,
Teradata and ORACLE
• 5+ years of professional Corporate Data Warehousing & ETL
experience (Datastage/Informatica)
• 8+ years software testing/QA experience
• 8+ years of QA and/or application development experience
• Good knowledge of testing methodologies (SDLC, Agile, etc.);
• Must have solid understanding on Data Quality and data management.
• Airline knowledge/experience;
• Data analysis tools experience (Quest TOAD suite, Informatica DVO)
• Testing tools experience (MS Visual Studio Team System, QC, Test
Director, others)
• Solid understanding of relational databases;
• Change agility, good verbal and written communication skills,
detail oriented.
• Demonstrates initiative, follow-through, sound business judgment.
