Yes, but only if you have created any backups before. All the information on the logdevspace not backed up before is of course lost with that devspace. That is why, it is recommended for productive systems to used mirrored log devspaces (mirrored either by SAP DB or by hardware) and that is why log backups should be done on a very regular basis.
