For problems related to the DBM using the database it's always useful to have the file dbm.prt (which contains the DBM commands) and the file dbm.utl (which contains the commands and answers between DBM and database kernel) available. And as your kernel is down it's also useful to have a look into the file knldiag first. So would you mind, to supply these files?
