Hi, the concept of tablespaces is a Oracle feature. SAPDB does not support creating own tablespaces. The I/O system is completely different due to SAPDBs usage of a converter to map logical pages into physical pages on disk. Without such a converter, the operator has do most of load balancing tasks on his own, while on SAPDB load balancing is done silently by background tasks.
