Hello! Can anybody tell me about configuration
backup SAPDB via Omniback II? I know such way: backint SAPDB->backint for
Oracle ->omniback.
I read
---------------------
You must adhere to the following configuration steps:
1. Establish a Backint for SAP DB connection (note 338903).Tell the
Database Manager where to find Backint for SAP DB delivered with SAP DB and
how to control it.
2. Configure the adapter program (Backint for SAP DB delivered with SAP
DB) using a configuration file. The syntax of this file is described in
Section 3.1. A sample file is contained in Section 3.2. This file basically
informs the adapter program where it should create the temporary file and the
Backint for Oracle is located. If you need to create a configuration file
during this step, you must store its name in the configuration file created in
step 1.
3. Install and configure the interface program Backint for Oracle
delivered by the backup tool manufacturer in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions. The name of the configuration file created in this
step is to be stored in the configuration file created in step 2.
This basically means that you need to create three configuration files - one
for the Database Manager, one for Backint for SAP DB and one for Backint for
Oracle.
------------------
I found example of a configuration file for
backint SAPDB, but i can't find example of a configuration file for backint for
Oracle.
Can anybody help me?
Regards,
Svetlana
