Hi Everybody, Moin List,
After working more than a half year intensive with SAP-DB and the Sources
some ideas are growing in my head, of features, we could supply into
SAP-DB
Security Features for Databas connection handling
===============================
- - adding SSL/TLS connectiontypes to the vserver connection manager
- - adding server/client public key features to vserver, to be able to
control connections to the DB Server
- - adding tcp wrapper features into vserver, beyond the inetd.conf tcpd
- - adding content crypting via gpg, adding "public/secret key/keyring"
methods for user accessing tables, handled in each table/(row also ?)
But we would only be able to handle Unix/Linux type tools. We do not
work for Windows Trash - never again, w'd like to do that. So someone
othe should wiork on the windump world, to avoid forking the development.
mfG
