I have a linux machine serving sapdb....I have an
XP machine that I develop from. (I have also installed sapdb on the
win box to make sure it works fine, and all programs work correctly...but this
is temporary, I want to use the linux server as a dedicated db server)...with
all services running:
I can connect to the linux server from the
win client using the webtools fine...
I cannot connect to the linux box using either of
the GUI tools on the win box...they just hang....Did I not correctly set
something up?...or am I missing something....I read some threads about setting
the UID-bit to assist this connection (but I am not sure how to do this, and
cannot find any documentation on it....)
