Hello SAP DB team,

SapDB is starting to be used a lot in j2ee application servers. I really
like the database quite a bit and I have been tremendously impressed by
the team at SAP dedicated to putting this database together. I am very
interested in seeing the SAP DB jdbc driver become more compliant with
the latest jdk (1.4), where the javax.sql package is a major part. I
know that the database itself is your top priority, and that there are
certain items that need to be implemented in the database before full
compliance with the JDBC spec can be realized. I also know from reading
the mailing list that those particular database items, and hence the
JDBC spec are not your top priorities (and I completely understand - I
realize where your focus is these days). However, is there anyway that
those of us who are interested in JDBC 3.0 compliance (or just JDBC 2.0
optional package) can make contributions to the driver that wouldn't
step over any work already being done? This is, after all, one of the
benefits of open source software. To those who are working on the driver
(Marco, et al): Is there a known list of items that need to be
accomplished in a certain order, or is it something that can be worked
on in no particular order? Anyway, I am interested in helping out when
and where I can.

Please Advise.

Cheers and thanks for the amazing software -
