Hello,

SQLStudio installs its own ODBC driver at startup time
and removes it when it exits.
It must be run under a user account which is privileged enough
to modify the registry.
(this will change in the next release; the ODBC driver
will be installed traditionally at setup time then.)

could this be the reason ?

Subject: Win 32 ODBC Problem on SAP 7.3 SQL Studio

Hi ,

I am trying to start SQL Studio , but even everything is installed
without problems , SQL Studio reports Automation Error when starting Application
and after that when try to connect , report Err. Description "ODBC Missing" .

I installed everything ( same ) on my computer at work , and i just repeat step by
step , at home .

Even I unistall SQL Studio , ODBC driver , and reinstall it . Same mistake .

Platform : MS WIN 2000 Server

When starting ( just after dbl click )

Form with text as follows , just jump and dissapeared.

"frmMain"
"MDI_FormLoad'
"ClassFactory could not support requested class"

After that when Click on Connect , I receive Error :

"-23201 NO ODBC Driver "

When closing SQL Studio :

"Invalid driver or translator name "

##########

DB Manager is running OK.
websql and webdbm , are working OK , Database itself
work OK , also Web Server ..

I will appreciate any tip to follow in order to solve this problem.
