Reinstalling the SAP DB on Windows-2000 was successful, when I tried to create the TST database it is saying Runtime error.
The following message is given - -24994,ERR_RTE: runtime environment error -2,Kernel start failed In the log file in indep_data/wrk there are the following messages STDOUT: start installation Sa, May 25, 2002 at 11:53:48 STDOUT: operating system: MSWin32 STDOUT: callers working directory: C:\Documents and Settings\krishnaveni\Desktop\newSAP\sapdb-server-win-32bit-i386-7_3_0_23 MSG: no frame script in package "SAPDBIND.TGZ" STDOUT: start package for release independent database software STDOUT: ------------------------------------------------------- MSG: service "sql6" in "C:/WINNT/system32/drivers/etc/services" found MSG: service "sql30" in "C:/WINNT/system32/drivers/etc/services" found Can't open registry key "-2147483646\SOFTWARE\SAP\SAP DBTech": STDOUT: please enter independent program path [C:/Program Files/sapdb/indep_prog]: STDIN: STDOUT: directory "C:/Program Files/sapdb/indep_prog" does not exist, create? (y/n) and the installation was successful. Can i know where the problem is ? Can u please tell me how i could solve this problem ?
