I'm getting a similar error while trying to get to warm state after a successful database restore (done it a few times before).
The story: I had to move a production sapdb to a temporary server while the production server went in for repairs and I backed up the database using SQL GUI and restored it on the temp machine with no problems. Now when I restore it back to the production server (dropped the old db first) everything seems to work fine except that the server wont go to warm state!!
