Hello !
I have little problem and then i have some questions.
First of all I have problem to make new database to server. When I try to
use Database Wizard to make an new database to sap I get following error in
the last step of wizard after I had push the install button and software try
to initialize configuration.
" An error occurs by installing database 'TEST'!
-24988 sql error [util_execute INIT CONFIG]; -2008, Message not available
Well can you tell me what i have done wrong and what i should do that I can
make new database. I have read manuals and make the test database TST and
use it and it works fine.
I tell now step by step how i try to use Database Wizard:
step 1 of 8 I give the information of database (because i try to make
database to server i didn't give server information it seems to take it
automatically ?)
step 2 of 8 Versio number is 7.3.0.0 and instroot is following C:\program
files\sapdb\depend
step 3 of 8 I give the user names and passwords for the manager and system
administrator
step 4 of 8 I initialize parameters whit the default values and put the
instance type LiveCache
step 5 of 8 I accept the parameters (didn't change anythink)
step 6 of 8 I have the specify the volumes (give sizes to DATA0001 and
LOG001 that I can take next step)
step 7 of 8 I chooses the install instance mode of installation
step 8 of 8 And finaly I hit the install button
The second question what i have is following. When i contact from delphi 6.0
to database tst ( which is in server) whit sap own odbc driver. I have
notice that it is very slow to have information fron database. Is there any
configuration which i shoul make that database or connection would be
faster. The tst database is that example database which come whit sapdb.
