Subject: RE: SAP DB ODBC drivers
Hi
Parul
The
SAP DB ODBC driver does not install a driver manager. Most applications will
run with
this
driver without a driver manager. E.g. perl can be run without a driver
manager, however,
then
all DBD::ODBC connections will go through the SAP DB ODBC driver and
therefore
only
connect to a SAP DB. Information about DSN etc. is looked up in
odbc.ini
in
/var/spool/sql/ini (see manual) or in the user's home directory
(.odbc.ini).
Probably you find additional useful information in the mailing list
archive.

I had installed SAP DB a few days back. I want
to use SAP DB as the back end database for my perl scripts on linux
machine.
I am trying to install DBD::ODBC-0.41, but it
is not able to find out the ODBC driver manager installed with
sap.
Can anyone help me out??
