Hi Thomas,

I checked my SAP DB module, but there isnt any file called "odbc.ini". I feel that there is no SAP DB ODBC driver on my machine.

Help me out!!

Subject: RE: SAP DB ODBC drivers

Hi Parul

The SAP DB ODBC driver does not install a driver manager. Most applications will run with
this driver without a driver manager. E.g. perl can be run without a driver manager, however,
then all DBD::ODBC connections will go through the SAP DB ODBC driver and therefore
only connect to a SAP DB. Information about DSN etc. is looked up in odbc.ini
in /var/spool/sql/ini (see manual) or in the user's home directory (.odbc.ini).

Probably you find additional useful information in the mailing list archive.

Regards  Thomas
